eRecruiter Nigeria has been retained by our client - one of Nigeria s leading eCommerce companies to source and recommend for hire a Senior Software Developer. The company has quickly become a major player in the eCommerce sector in Nigeria. This role is based in Lagos, Nigeria 

Job Profile: 

Senior Software Developer will be responsible for developing, designing, analyzing and maintaining software. The role holder will help drive technical efforts and deliver solid, scalable systems on an aggressive schedule.

Key Responsibilities 

• Supervise, design and build advanced applications for all relevant platforms Enhance the company's UX and UI to ensure global best practice 
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency Build and supervise technology to support all internal business units and departments
• Develop and manage internal and external feedback system by studying information needs
• Improves business operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures 
• Develop and documents best practices and coding structures and ensure they are followed 
• Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes
• Ensure continuous improvement of the software, while investigating problem areas and proffer solutions Monitor software development lifecycle 
• Develop 3 -5 years platform scalability plan 
• Develop annual development plan 
• Help develop a great development and engineering culture 
• Optimize the company's Tech expenditure 
• Build, train and develop internal development team 
• Oversee outsourced development consultants 
• Carry out all other duties as delegated. 

Key Requirements 

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a strong demonstrable software engineering foundation 
• Minimum 2 years software development experience in an E-commerce company is an added advantage 
• Experience leading technical teams and projects within a fast paced environment 
• Expertise in Ruby on Rails development 
• Expertise in PhP Expertise in other modern programming languages is an added advantage 
• Experience in developing high performance/scalable RoR apps used by number of concurrent users HTML5, CSS, jQuery fluency Experience in a front-end framework like Ember, Angular, or React 
• Experience in writing tests and refactoring 
• Expertise in handling Android fragmentation (Different Android versions, device screen sizes and densities) 
• Expertise in designing flow Sound knowledge of Android SDK (Activity, fragment, service, broadcast receiver, intent, layouts, etc.) Good understanding of Android design patterns 
• Experience in widget development, location services, bitmap handling, caching and syncing 
• Experience measuring KPIs for SaaS, such as churn, LTV, and event-based analytics, particularly tools such as Mixpanel or Kissmetrics 
• Ability to analyze business requirements and designs to thoroughly identify technical requirements 
• Enthusiastic about meeting deadlines, maintenance, support & performance optimization Good communication skills both written and verbal

• Accuracy of planning parameters 100% completion of projects at deadline. 
• Continuous improvement of all running applications Business performance against industry benchmarks.
