Our client is a platform for food factories and a logistics firm focused on oil produce. The client is supported and funded by AfDB and various multinational investment firms. They now have an opening for a Finance Associate - Akwa Ibom.
Job Profile
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and reporting on the financial health of the business units. You will devise strategies and priorities to enable the organization to better track and meet its long-term financial goals. You will also work with The Founders to evaluate new business opportunities (e.g., entering cassava processing or moving into palm in another region).
This is a new position within the company that was previously managed by the Founders. As such, we expect you to take ownership of finance at the organization. While others on the team will be deeply attuned with your work, you will be the primary driver and responsible party for leveraging financial insights to monitor performance and ensure our team meets its objectives.

● Guide Strategic Direction: Set strategic objectives and push changes to ensure we meet our goals

● Financial Optimization: Deploy relevant skills to constantly drive forward operational improvements Utilizing modeling and other tools for financial analysis to form new insights and explore innovative methods to reduce costs and strengthen company unit economics

Experience/Qualifications
● Consulting Background: Experience solving business problems at a top consulting firm (1-2+ years)
● Modeling/Analytical capability: Strong ability to create insight-driving and simple-to-use Excel models
